The best way to extend the life and beauty of your lingerie is to hand wash it in cool water with gentle soap. Fill a basin with cold water and gentle soap. Submerse the garment(s) and gently swish them around. Let soak for 30 minutes. With cool water, and without wringing your garment, rinse out detergent from the garment. Lay flat to dry and use a steamer to remove wrinkles and creases.
If the garment’s care instructions permit machine washing, place garment in a lingerie bag to protect its shape. If you are machine washing bras, hook them prior to placing them in the lingerie bag and readjust straps before the next use.
We recommend using a lingerie wash free of benzene derivatives. Soak or Forever New are fantastic for your delicates. Avoid Tide and Woolite. You can purchase a rinse-free, dye free lingerie wash at blossoms & beehives.
To extend the life of each bra, we highly encourage giving the bra a day of rest for every day you wear. The fibers in each bra have a memory and we want to retain the elasticity as long as possible.
